Good Evening Montana Swimming,
The Montana Swimming Regional Coach Clinic held in Missoula, Montana on October 21st-23rd was a huge success. Coaches from Montana to Idaho supported the 53 hour academic feast. Four dynamic presenters from USA Swimming and ASCA fortified approximately 60 coaches with a delectable smorgasbord of 16 hand-picked workshops which ranged from technique to management of team issues and an ASCA, level 2 stroke school. This pre-thanksgiving feast was most satisfying for all education junkies.
Left overs are available in two ample servings. First, a copy of Peter Loyda's notes have been attached. Who can figure out how many cookie breaks Pete had? Concurrently, PFD's of all presentations will still be available for 30 days at http://www.usaswimming.org/MontanaRCC.
Not only were the presentations fruitful and fun, but also Montana Swimming was empowered to host a clinic with substantial perks. First, each Montana Swimming club who attended the Montana RCC was eligible for the team registration reimbursement up to $120 and a team academic reimbursement up to $50. Secondly, MT Swimming provided coffee, bagels, muffins, fruit, ... for the entire weekend. The whole experience was topped off with a catered BBQ hosted by the Jacobson's.
Copious thank you's to USA Swimming, ASCA and MT Swimming for your level of commitment to professional education. Moreover, thank you to the amazingly awesome staff from USA Swimming/ASCA. Eric Lazzari, Guy Edson, Tom Avischious, Bill Krumm and MJ Truex ... your passion and generous gift of sharing your talent inspired us all. Local thank you's to the Jacobson family for hosting the ultimate BBQ at their house for the clinicians and coaches. Hearty thank you's to all the coaches and teams who surrendered their valuable time, energy and resources to shut down practice for a couple days and unite in the name of making MT Swimming better. Thank you to all for a fun weekend!!
Good luck this season,
Deidre Loyda
